As part of an internal Quality Assurance (QA) initiative, we conducted a comprehensive review of the Professional Networking and Engagement Platform which empower creators, experts and mentors and help them to connect with young professionals. This assessment aimed to identify potential areas of improvement and enhance the platform's user experience. Below is a detailed summary of the findings and recommendations.
1. Login Page
- Issue: Validations are not implemented for incorrect username/password inputs.
- Recommendation: Add robust validation logic to handle incorrect credentials and provide user-friendly error messages for better clarity and security.
2. Update User Profile
- Issue: The email verification process lacks sufficient security measures.
- Recommendation: Strengthen the email verification mechanism by implementing multi-factor authentication (MFA) or unique token-based verification.
3. Referral Dashboard
- Suggestion: Enhance the visibility and usability of the "Share Feedback" option.
- Actionable Recommendations:
- Format "Share Feedback" as a hyperlink by underlining it or changing its color to blue and adding a hover effect.
- Configure the Google Form linked to "Share Feedback" to open in a new tab.
- Additional Enhancements:
- Modify "Terms and Conditions" and "Contact Us" to open in separate tabs when clicked.
- Change the mouse pointer to a hand icon when hovering over "Terms and Conditions" and "Contact Us" for better usability.
4. Achievements & Milestones
- Suggestion: Revise the "Next lvl" text for clarity.
- Actionable Recommendation: Use "Next Level" or simply "Next" for better readability and professional consistency.
5. Payments Dashboard
- Filters for Duration:
- Issue: The filter functionality for selecting durations does not align with the export option. For instance, filters allow selection of January, but exports can be performed only for the last three months (tested on January 2, 2025).
- Recommendation: Synchronize filter and export options to maintain consistency and improve user experience.
- Mouse Pointer for Payout FAQs:
- Issue: The mouse pointer does not change to a hand icon when hovering over "Payout FAQs."
- Recommendation: Update the pointer behavior for a consistent UI.
- Payout FAQs:
- Recommendation: Configure "Payout FAQs" to open in a new tab to preserve the user’s current workflow.
6. Account Management
- Issue: The option to deactivate an account is unavailable.
- Recommendation: Introduce a "Deactivate Account" option to provide users with better control over their account status. Ensure the process is secure and reversible (e.g., temporary deactivation).
Our internal QA initiative has identified critical areas for improvement on Professional Networking and Engagement Platform which connects mentors and mentees. Implementing these recommendations can significantly enhance the platform’s usability, accessibility, and overall user experience.
